Abstract

Ultrafast in-well screening was performed on the piezoelectric field in CdTe/CdMnTe quantum wells and multiple quantum wells, and the results were explained by modeling. Modeling also allowed the determination of the parameters which have to be optimized to obtain a room-temperature all-optics switch or modulator.
