Abstract

Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) composite materials are of interest for various applications because of their mechanical strength. They are obtained by plies pressing and their mechanical characteristics depend on the temperature pressing and heating cycle. In order to assess the out-of-plane cohesion of the resulting material, specimens have been subjected to interply adhesion testing.
