Abstract

We study numerically and experimentally the intrinsic phase of CoherentWake Emission harmonics. We first use 1D3V particle-in-cell simulations to identify the origin of the phase. Then we present experimental results showing that it can be controlled by tailoring the laser pulse, and measured precisely using an interferometric technique.
