Abstract

This article is about human factor issues inside of our Web society: it highlights how ICT produce and destroy social bond. It proposes an approach of the digital divide according to two levels: - an uneven access to Internet and the ICT; - insufficient knowledge and know-how to communicate in a society based on knowledge. It takes for principal example the Net generation born from the technological and social mediation generated by ICT. So, finally, it defends that digital divide is based on socio-economic and cultural inequalities that existed for the major part before the introduction of the ICT and the network setting of our society.
