Abstract
Various laser-plasma experiments in the context of inertial fusion were carried out to succeed in producing high energy level. Results on three themes such as,the plasma induced coherence, the effect of beam crossing, and nonlinear stimulated Brillouin scattering (SBS) saturation were described. The plasma-induced incoherence was included to understand the affect of laser incoherence and the parametric instabilities. It was found that parametric instabilities could be controlled, the choice of the laser wavelength, 0.53 or 0.35 μm, could be reconsidered, allowing significant reduction of cost of the system.
