Abstract
The question of "alternative" technologies for high-speed Internet access is at the heart of territorial development issues. For the past three years numerous experiments have been undertaken. In this paper the authors focus on one of those technologies, the system combining satellite as a collection network and Wi-Fi for service networks. Here the authors posit that this experimentation is the figure of a place where a set of actors are networked. Based on an empirical case study, they analyse the ways in which each actor in an experimental project appropriates it.
