Abstract

We demonstrate low-phase noise quantum-dash mode-locked lasers (QD-MLLD) with integrated external-cavity feedback circuits using facet-attached micro-lenses (FaML) as optical coupling elements. The intrinsic linewidths of the comb tones are reduced by a factor of 1000 and reach 30 kHz.
