N2 - Research in the field of telecommunication is moving towards 6G. Upper mm Wave frequencies (100-300 GHz) are seen as a promising band for 6G. ITU recommendations on material characteristics are limited to 100 GHz. This study aims to further extend the currently existing knowledge on wave-material interaction and make the link between below and above 100 GHz frequencies by providing reflection measurements from 2 to 170 GHz. The material reflection coefficients of seventeen different materials e.g. glass, wood, aerated concrete, and polystyrene are continuously reported along the measured band. The measurement setup is based on a vector network analyzer with millimeter wave extension modules connected starting from 50 GHz.
