Abstract

We present measurements of the branching fractions for the three-body decays B0â†'D(*)â"K0Ï€Â± and their resonant submodes B0â†'D(*)â"K *Â± using a sample of approximately 88Ã-106 BBÂ pairs collected by the BABAR detector at the SLAC PEP-II asymmetric energy storage ring. We measure: B(B0â†'Dâ"K0Ï€ Â±)=(4.9Â±0.7statÂ±0.5syst)Ã-10-4, B(B0â†'D*â"K0Ï€Â±)=(3. 0Â±0.7statÂ±0.3syst)Ã-10-4, B(B0â† 'Dâ"K*Â±)=(4.6Â±0. 6statÂ±0.5syst)Ã-10-4, B(B0â†'D *â"K*Â±)=(3.2Â±0. 6statÂ±0.3syst)Ã-10-4. From these measurements we determine the fractions of resonant events to be f(B0â†'Dâ" K*Â±)=0.63Â±0.08statÂ±0.04syst and f(B0â†'D*â"K*Â±)=0. 72Â±0.14statÂ±0.05syst.
