Mechanisms of charge separation in bacterial reaction centers

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

In photosynthetic reaction centres coherence phenomena occur on the same time scale as the primary electron transfer reaction. The origin of these phenomena is discussed and a model is presented for near-adiabatic electron transfer coupled to a low frequency vibrational mode which conserves its phase during the reaction.
