Abstract

Higher concentrations of nitrogen dioxide and particles (organics and black carbon) are often observed in streets compared to urban background. Road traffic is generally seen as one of the dominant sources of emissions in streets. The main goal of this work is to evaluate the impact of uncertainties of traffic emissions (speciation of VOC at exhaust and non-exhaust emissions) on pollutant concentrations in streets, and to evaluate the potential impact of asphalt-related emissions, which are usually ignored.
