Modulation-frequency dependence of the phase-amplitude coupling in quantum dot lasers

Abstract

The phase-amplitude coupling of quantum dot lasers is studied by taking into account carrier dynamics and the contribution of off-resonant states to the refractive index change. Calculations reveal a strong dependence on the modulation frequency.
