NickPay, an Auditable, Privacy-Preserving, Nickname-Based Payment System

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingConference contributionpeer-review

Abstract

NickPay is a privacy-preserving, auditable payment system built on the Ethereum blockchain. It ensures strong privacy by unlinking payments from their owners while maintaining transparency. The system allows a trusted authority to access sensitive data for audit and compliance purposes. NickPay leverages the Nicknames for Group Signatures (NGS) scheme, enabling dynamic nicknames and flexible public keys. Our blockchain implementation of NickPay is a prototype for auditable, private blockchain-based payment systems.
