Nonlinear schemes and multiscale preconditioners for time evolution problems in constrained structural dynamics

Research output: Chapter in Book/Report/Conference proceedingChapterpeer-review

Abstract

We discuss on a significant multiscale model problem originating from the tire industry the limitations of explicit schemes even when used with residual smoothing, the importance of nonlinear energy corrections in implicit schemes, and the general philosophy of multiscale preconditioners.
