Optimal control applied to inverse problems in plasticity

Research output: Contribution to conferencePaperpeer-review

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to present an inverse approach for the determination of plastic strain distribution in a solid, which has undergone an unknown loading history. The framework of optimal control is adapted to various non-linear constitutive laws, associated with a cost function which has to be minimized.
