Abstract

New, accurate transport algorithms are presented in order to evaluate transport coefficients in multicomponent gas flows. These algorithms include convergent iterative methods, where transport coefficients are expanded as convergent series, as well as direct inversions of symmetric positive definite forms of the associated transport linear systems. Numerical experiments on various model flame problems and computer architectures show that the new algorithms provide accurate transport coefficients at low computational costs.
