Abstract

The performance evaluation of the security in wireless local area networks (WLAN) was presented. Robustness against attacks and bandwidth degradation were discussed. Wired equivalent privacy (WEP) has been suggested as a solution by the standard. Its objective is to make a WLAN equivalent to a traditional wired network.
