Abstract
The ion population dynamics was followed by solving a system of rate equations. A relativistic classical trajectory Monte Carlo (CTMC) technique was used to determine the angular distribution of the photoelectrons out of the laser focus. The results indicate that there is no simple mechanism accounting for the narrow shape of the azimuthal distributions of the fast electrons.
