Photoluminescence study of Schott commercial and experimental CdSSe-doped glasses: Observation of surface states

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

Photoluminescence and absorption experiments performed on Schott commercial and experimental CdSSedoped glassesreveal the existence of a pair of narrow electronic states close to the electronic bands. According to a study of the luminescence as a function of the size of the semiconductor spheres, we tentatively interpret them as surface states. A careful analysis of the absorption spectra seems to corroborate this conclusion.
