Abstract

In this paper we consider the downlink precoding for massive multi-user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) antenna systems. We address the problem of optimizing the channel state information (CSI) process timeline. So we propose a new feedback quantity, referred to as channel state information accuracy indicator (CSIAI), which will be transmitted by the user equipment (UE) to the base station (BS). The design of an appropriate precoding matrix based on the CSIAI reporting has the advantage of enhancing the overall system performance. It was shown that an improvement in the average bit error rate (BER) performance is achieved.
