Abstract

The use of high contrast proton moire fringes for the diagnosis of electromagnetic fields was discussed. Clear shifts in moire fringes were obtained using proton deflection by the peak electric field. The strength of transient electromagnetic fields inside opaque materials and plasmas was determined using the shifts in the moire fringes.
