Quasi-cyclic LDPC based on PEG construction for optical communications

Abstract

A new construction of quasi-cyclic LDPC codes based on the progressive edge-growth algorithm is presented. These codes perform better than most LDPC codes proposed for optical transmissions and design parameters can be chosen without constraint.
