Radiation trapping efficiency in double liner and dynamic hohlraum

Abstract

Within the concept of the double liner and dynamic haulraum, a high intensity thermal X-ray is generated by the collision of an outer cylindrical plasma shell onto an inner liner. Efficient radiation thermalization and thermal X-ray albedo augmentation by the mixed ion plasma of the outer shell increase the intensity of the radiation inside the double liner cavity.
