title = "Railway Track Monitoring Using Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) With Standard Telecom Cable",
abstract = "We demonstrate the ability to detect ground vibrations in a railway environment using two Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) configurations. The study employs the standard deviation of the differential phase over time (STDv) as a metric to evaluate the detection capabilities and spatiotemporal localization accuracy of both systems. A demonstration of rail train tracking is presented using a standard optical fiber telecom cable sheathed PEHD, with a detection range extending up to 40 km.",
