Abstract
This paper presents a set of studies and proposals related to cooperative, auto-configurable and adaptive networks. It summarizes some extensions and experiments performed within the RESACO project. The objective of this project is to propose viable architectures and tools that enable and enhance Quality-of-Service (QoS), mobility, service discovery and security aspects over multidomain and heterogeneous networks. The proposed extensions are based on the use of programmable software-based edge routers and access points. Additional features that enable adaptability, auto-configuration and cooperation are experimented.
