Abstract
Direct detection of direction of arrival (DoA) with no frequency conversion simplifies the design of DoA measurement systems and alleviates base band processing. We present in this paper results of direct detection of DoA based on five-port system and antenna array using the MUSIC (MUltiple Signal Classification) estimation method. We also show that sweeping the transmitter frequency allows the five-port to detect propagation time delay.
