Abstract

The sensitivity of coherent 100 Gbps QPSK and 200 Gbps 16QAM-OFDM to practical implementation impairments is investigated. In spite of its higher sensitivity when compared to 100 Gbps QPSK-OFDM, we demonstrate that the implementation complexity of 200 Gbps 16QAM-OFDM is manageable experimentally.
