Abstract

A morphology of these emissions is presented. Results reveal high latitudinal confinement of ECH waves (1 deg) at the magnetic equator. The strongest waves are observed in the dayside magnetosphere. In the nightside, 3/2 Fce waves observed are not intense enough to put plasmasheet electrons in strong pitch-angle diffusion and cause the diffuse aurora.-from STAR, 23(14), 1985
