Abstract

Alkylthiol functionalized quaterthiophene has been synthesized and adsorbed onto gold an platinum substrates. The obtained layers (SAMs) are densely packed and highly ordered. The assemblies show remarkable electrochemical and thermal stability and are electroactive in nonaqueous media.
