Abstract

This study describes the development in progress of a Morpho Functional Simulator of Human Upper et Central Airways for computer aided diagnostic, surgery act, and inhaled drug delivery. This multidisciplinary work requires a synergy between tools and knowledge issued from different fields: medical imaging, physical and numerical modeling, physiopathology and experimental validation organized around five subsets described here below: (I) patient exploration, (II) anatomo functional Data and Concepts, (III) physical and numerical modeling, (IV) morpho functional simulator and (V) In vivo validation. This study is part of a collaborative project titled R-MOD, funded by Air Liquide and French Research Ministry: Air Liquide is the project coordinator.
