Some estimates of the effects of unemployment insurance on re-employment duration

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

This paper examines how re-employment spell durations are affected by the potential unemployment benefit period (an ex-ante notion) and benefit exhaustion (an ex-post notion). The extent to which benefit duration affects re-employment duration is found to depend on the nature of the separation.
