Abstract
The production of high energy plasma in GIT-4, a terawatt pulsed-power generator with intermediate inductive storage and a microsecond long conduction plasma opening switch (POS), is investigated using data from previous experiments. Results show that a high energy density plasma column can be generated by transferring the energy from the generator to a region close to the load.
