Abstract
Spectral resolution and sampling issues in Fourier-transform spectral interferometry, were investigated. Limitations arising from the finite spectral resolution of the spectrometer were discussed. Results demonstrated that the spectrometer's finite spectral resolution, pixel aliasing, and frequency-interpolation error played an important role. An accurate recipe for recovering the spectral phase from the experimental data was presented.
