Abstract

We prove perturbative renormalizability of the spontaneously broken SU(2)-Yang-Mills-Higgs theory based on flow equations both for Green and for vertex functions. The parts controlling power counting are similar to other renormalizable theories. Violation of gauge symmetry caused by the intermediate regularization generates the main obstacle. We show that a class of renormalization conditions exists due to which the renormalized vertex functions satisfy the Slavnov-Taylor identities of the theory considered.
