Stabilization of atoms in superintense laser fields: Role of the coulomb singularity

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

We analyse, with the help of id and 3D classical simulations, the role of the Coulomb singularity in the dynamics of an atom submitted to a very strong laser pulse. In particular, we show that stabilization is more easily observed when dealing with smooth potentials.
