Abstract
The symmetry and phase of second-harmonic reflection (SHR) from a rhomboedric calcite crystal surface perpendicular to the c-axis were determined. A picosecond Nd:YAG laser, whose polarization is controlled by half- and quarter-wave plates, was used and the SHR polarization was analyzed.
