Abstract

In 1993, the French Defense Department initiated the development of the SYRINX program with the objective of delivering the appropriate power to a Z-pinch load at affordable cost. The Centre d'Etude de Gramat realized this research and development program, thus preparing the construction of future large pulsed power facilities for X-rays production.
