Abstract

System engineering is applied all along the lifecycle of products and is facing increasing pressure to optimize cost and design time. Reducing iterations requires improving accuracy of system models which helps prune the design space. We propose SYS-3DREQ a seamless approach in system engineering flow where system engineering modelling, multiobjective optimization and multiphysics simulation, safety analysis and 3D printing and prototyping are tackled jointly. In this paper we describe the 3D printing and prototyping steps. Increasingly, testing and prototyping steps are the focus of requirements traceability in a seamless flow This prototyping data analysis aims at enriching the system modelling phase with physical data. A case of study on a UAV validates our approach.
