The impact of quantum confinement on the optical nonlinearities of semiconductor nanocrystals

Research output: Contribution to journalConference articlepeer-review

Abstract

We discuss certain features of the three dimensional quantum confinement in semiconductors and its impact on the nonlinear optical properties of semiconductor nanocrystals. We cursively present results on spectral hole burning and saturation spectroscopy, on optical Kerr effect and on electroabsorption close to quantum confined resonances in these nanocrystals.
