Abstract

Using the ARGUS detector at the e⁺e^- storage ring DORIS II at DESY, we have observed the decays D⁺→K^-K⁰π⁺π⁺ and D_s⁺→K^-K⁰π⁺π⁺. The branching ratios were determined to be BR(D⁺→K^-K⁰π⁺π⁺)=(1.0±0.5±0.3)% and BR(D_s⁺→K^-K⁰π⁺π⁺)/BR(D_s⁺→φπ⁺)=1.2±0.2±0.2. These decays are found to proceed mostly via the {Mathematical expression} decay channel, with BR(D⁺→ {Mathematical expression})=2.6±0.8±0.7)% and BR(D_s⁺→ {Mathematical expression})/BR(D_s⁺→φπ⁺)=1.5±0.4±0.4.
