Abstract

The radiative lifetimes of the ν′ = 0 and 1 levels of CF(A ¹Σ⁺) in the gas phase have been measured by observing the fluorescence decay following pulsed laser excitation. The values, 26.7±1.8 and 25.6±1.8 ns respectively, are some 30% larger than those previously observed.
