Abstract

The possibility of obtaining stimulated emission in strong coupling regime in III-V microcavities under resonant and above the stop-band excitation has been investigated. The emission is observed with a time resolved luminescence experiment with k selection. In the case of high-photon-energy excitation, stimulated emission occurs only in the weak coupling regime for the III-V structures. In the case of resonant excitation at a certain angle, we observe stimulated emission at k = 0 in the strong coupling regime in the III-V microcavities. The emission is fast and decays with the polariton lifetime.
