Abstract

The role and significance of transport within the broad classification of logistics, is somewhat controversial. One frequently observes lorries passing on a highway, advertising that they provide “logistics” which appears today to be a euphemism for “transport.” On the other hand, some logistics theoreticians do not even consider transport in their work, which they devote entirely to more generic thoughts on management.
