Abstract

We present a 10 GHz dual loop optoelectronic oscillator (OEO), with very low phase noise (-144.7 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz) and low spur level (-145 dBc/Hz), despite using short fibers (1 km/100 m). The OEO is designed thanks to a simple model, which shows good agreement both with single and dual loop configurations.
