Abstract

PLUG stands for “Play Ubiquitous Games and play more.” It was a 27-month research project that started in January 2008. It focuses on pervasive multiplayer serious games, with companies and academics joining their skills to provide new results. France Telecom-Orange is a network provider. Net Innovations is a software integrator, and TetraEdge is a game studio. DUNE Adventure, providing real games such as crime investigations and spying, is directing characters. CNAM-CEDRIC, L3i-LaRochelle, and Institut Telecom are research labs. The Musée des Arts et Métiers (MAM) is a museum of science and technology in Paris. PLUG games take place inside the MAM.
