Abstract
A wideband integrated dual polarized bow-tie antenna using an optimized microstrip-to-CPS transition has been presented in this article. This antenna has been designed and fabricated in a very compact geometry with overall dimensions of 1.1 λL × 1.1λL × 0.015λL where λL is the wavelength at the lowest operating frequency. Measurement and simulation results show wideband behavior in dual polarization with return loss better than 10 dB from 5.4 to 12 GHz. The radiation patterns show good symmetrical patterns in E-and H-plane.
