Abstract

Web services registries play an important role in service oriented applications. They constitute the market where services consumers go to search for a desired Web service. With the proliferation of Web services registries, finding an adequate registry has become a complex task for a service requester. In this paper we propose a semantic model to describe Web services registries (WSRD). WSRD descriptions are functionality-driven since they rely on the registry's Web services description. We also propose an approach for computing WSRD descriptions and mechanisms to handle their updates. Experimental evaluation shows that our approach is usable in realistic situations.
