Profil personnel

Personal profile

Dr. Borzouyeh Khanghahi-Bala is a post-doctoral researcher at École nationale des ponts et chaussées (ENPC), specializing in the numerical modeling and code development of the visco-elasto-plastic anisotropic behavior of soils and rocks, as well as the coupled thermo-hydro-mechanical (THM) behavior of porous materials. With expertise in Finite Element Method (FEM) simulation, he has developed and implemented advanced constitutive models in platforms such as PLAXIS (via UDSM) and FEniCS/MFront, utilizing Fortran and Python. During his Ph.D., Dr. Khanghahi-Bala built a fully coupled T-H-M finite element code from scratch, gaining a deep understanding of multiphysics modeling. His work has significant applications in tunneling, nuclear waste disposal, energy sector engineering, petroleum geomechanics, and renewable energy fields including offshore wind and geothermal energy.
