His research primarily focuses on Westerly Wind Bursts (WWBs) and their impact on the simulation and prediction of the El Niño–Southern Oscillation (ENSO). In addition, he specializes in ensemble forecasting methods, including model and initial perturbations, as well as some AI methods (e.g., diffusion models).
