Personal profile

Isabelle Lallemand is a lecturer in the Languages and Cultures Department and deputy head of the IMT Didalang research group on language and culture teaching.

She holds a PhD in language and culture teaching (CNU qualification, section 7).

With over thirty years of experience in higher education, she has taught French as a foreign and second language (FLES) and French for academic and specific purposes (FOU/FOS) in a variety of contexts, in initial and continuing education, in France and Canada, and notably worked for nine years at INALCO (National Institute for Oriental Languages and Civilizations). From 2008 to 2018, she was the educational coordinator of the FLE section—now FLES—and integration activities for international students in initial training at Télécom Paris.

She has developed innovative educational programs around interculturality and multilingualism to promote the integration of international students in France and raise awareness among local students about their future international mobility, including a tandem language and cultural learning program for undergraduate students in language teaching. In the context of IMT, she also co-developed and co-led intercultural training courses for administrative and teaching staff.

Isabelle has always pursued research activities, publishing her work and presenting at conferences, symposiums, seminars, and study days, thereby contributing to the reputation of Télécom Paris.
